The Forum of South Women Journalists in Rafah organized the legal media camp

The Forum of South Women Journalists in Rafah organized the legal media camp, with the participation of 20 female journalists, as part of its continuous efforts to educate Palestinian journalists on human rights and their press rights.

The activities of the camp, which lasted for a full day, varied between training and entertainment. Attorney Abdullah Sharshara gave a lecture entitled “International Laws for the Protection of Journalists and their Conformity with Palestinian Laws”. Thuraya Abu Zuhri, coordinator of the “Towards a Society More Aware of Democracy and Human Rights” initiative. About the initiative’s activities, she indicated that the initiative is being implemented by the South Women’s Media Forum in partnership with Pal-Think for Strategic Studies within the Pal-Think Academy for Democracy and Human Rights project funded by the German Foreign Ministry.

The meeting included a speech by the Director of Pal-Think for Strategic Studies, Mr. Omar Shaaban, about the Foundation’s activities, and its interest in youth initiatives that enhance partnerships between Palestinian institutions and also contribute to strengthening Palestinian civil peace.

The two artists, Taghreed Hijazi and Rola Jarboe presented an artistic painting that embodies the reality of Palestinian women

At the end of the meeting, the initiative coordinator, Ms. Thuraya Abu Zuhri, presented Pal-Think Foundation for Strategic Studies with a frame of an olive branch embroidered with Palestinian embroidery, thanking them for their efforts in renouncing hate speech and promoting Palestinian civil peace.
