The South Women Media Forum (SWMF) inaugurated “The Women Journalists are Able to Change”

The South Women Media Forum (SWMF) inaugurated “The Women Journalists are Able to Change” project funding from the European Endowment for Democracy (EED) to contribute to developing women’s capabilities, consolidating the space for democracy and their participation in politics, building the capabilities and skills of newly graduated female journalists and enabling them to practice their media work in the political field. The executive director of the SWMF, Laila Al-Modalal, stated that the project contains many activities that support women’s participation in the field of political media and the production of an in-depth and analytical study that takes into account the feminist vision. Al-Modalal also indicated that the project includes orientation workshops that are implemented inside universities to motivate future generations by adopting democratic thought in the political participation of Palestinian women, as well as implementing a women’s media camp. In addition to implementing integrated media campaigns through a radio program, the issuance of a new edition of “Insan” magazine, the launch of advocacy campaigns through social media and holding a debate between veteran politicians and politicians with experience working with parties.
